{ my love. my angel. my everything. love being your mommy. my heart belongs to you my sweet little grace }
a poem that has lifted my spirits written by - lynn ungar - 3.11.20

what if you thought of it
as the jews consider the sabbath
the most sacred of times?
cease from travel.
cease from buying and selling.
give up, just for now,
on trying to make the world
different than it is.
sing. pray. touch only those
to whom you commit your life.
center down.
and when your body has become still,
reach out with your heart.
know that we are connected
in ways that are terrifying and beautiful.
(you could hardly deny it now.)
know that our lives
are in one another’s hands.
(surely, that has come clear.)
do not reach out your hands.
reach out your heart.
reach out your words.
reach out all the tendrils
of compassion that move, invisibly,
where we cannot touch.
promise this world your love
for better or for worse,
in sickness and in health,
so long as we all shall live.
--- may it be so. all my love.

{ one day at a time… we are all in this together }
it is very difficult for me to put into words all the emotions i have been feeling with this horrific situation that our world is facing. several words pop into my mind as being the most important during this critical time that are helping me cope: sacrifice, humanity, compassion, empathy, community, love, friendship, selflessness, among many others…
i have been very disturbed and saddened watching others act selfishly, not wanting to face the gravity of what is happening. some have even expressed to me that the media is exaggerating and that they will continue to live their lives as normal because they are “healthy.” breaks my heart.
social distancing is so important now. it is our duty to humanity to stay home, this will help stop the spread of this horrible virus. even if this will mean losing a job, facing financial difficulties, being pressed in so many ways. stay home and save the lives of others. many countries are already in full shut down. we need to do this as well.
mother earth is putting things back in place. nature is giving us humans a full reset. teaching us that humanity is not invincible. we are getting time that we never knew we would have with our family. I know I am soaking in every minute I get to spend at home with my daughter grace.
protect your children. life is also changing dramatically for them and will affect them emotionally. be careful with what you say to them and always remind them that you will keep them safe.
we are more interconnected that we have ever acknowledged. call your loved ones and close friends. connect virtually. breathe. stay positive and have hope. help others. you are all in my thoughts. please stay home and be safe.
i wish you good health and moments of joy and wonder in the days ahead.
